Who We Are

Citizens for the Minnehaha Creek Corridor (CMCC) is a group that formed out of a desire to be involved with the neighborhoods and communities touched by the Minnehaha Creek.  The creek winds 22 miles from Gray's Bay on the eastern edge of Lake Minnetonka to the Minnehaha Falls and the Mississippi River.  Our goal is to work with individuals and groups to keep Minnehaha Creek and its recreational areas green and vibrant.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Citizens for the Minnehaha Creek Corridor is to serve as a citizens’ group dedicated to helping people experience, understand, advocate for, and appreciate the Minnehaha Creek resource.

2009 - A busy year

CMCC is working on a full set of plans and goals for 2009.  We participated in an Earth Day cleanup day in April and co-organized a large creek clean up event with Leinenkugel's Beer in August.  We are currently working on organizing a series of small outings along the creek that may include hikes, canoe paddles or historical walking tours.

In order to ensure that these and other activities are a success we need your help.  Come to a meeting and lend your vioce.  Get involved in your community and join the Minnehaha Creek Citizens.
